Exergen Global announced today that Robotics & Automation is an official distributor of Exergen’s infrared non-contact temperature sensors in Israel. Robotics & Automation established in 1987 to provide engineering solutions for OEM companies such as IBM and Intel, partners with Exergen Global to uncover new OEM opportunities for Exergen’s thermal management solutions.
Robotics & Automation will offer Exergen’s complete line of non-contact IRt/c sensors to a range of industries, including medical, aesthetical, printing, plastics, and industrial.
“With its long-standing engineering expertise, Robotics & Automation is the perfect partner for Exergen Global. They bring the ideal customer-first philosophy, skill-set and regional knowledge needed to help us add to our existing OEM customer base in Israel,” said Bram Stelt, Director Large Accounts of Exergen Global. “Israel’s robust and growing manufacturing market has more than ample demand for thermal sensor solutions, and we are excited to partner with Robotics & Automation to expand our presence there.”
“Robotics & Automation has always been dedicated to providing long-term solutions – we don’t just simply move boxes,” said Zvi Fund, CEO of Robotics & Automation. “Like the engineers at Exergen Global, we relish the challenge of solving customers’ problem with best-in-class, guaranteed solutions. We’re thrilled to be partnering with the great people at Exergen Global and look forward to jointly working with OEMs in Israel and employing Exergen’s unique solutions to solve their thermal management challenges.”
ExergenIRt/c Product Line
Exergen’s IRt/c product line includes • Precalibrated IRt/cs: The world’s only self-powered infrared thermocouple. Best for low temperatures (< 500 °F) and non-metal or coated metal surfaces. • Microscanners: The world’s only NIST traceable IR thermometer. Measures non-contact or contact to achieve true accuracy. Non-metal or coated metal surfaces, from temperature ranges of –50 to 1600 °F. Remote sensor versions are also available. • Adjustable IRt/cs: A self-powered, infrared thermocouple that is field calibrated.
High temperatures (up to 5000 °F) and metal surfaces can be measured. Special optics available for small spots and far distances (up to 100:1). • Thermal Switches: The SnakeEye thermal switch can detect the presence of hot objects (such as hot melt adhesive, labels, laser engravings, seals, and pressed fit parts) with its photocell-like, thermally sensitive, fast switch.
Exergen holds more than 75 patents in the field of non-contact IR temperature sensors and offers the industry’s only self-powered IRt/cs. Its sensors have mean-time-between-failure (MTBF) rates of a thousand years, deliver accuracy of within 0.01C. They have high repeatability, 0.0001°C resolution, and response times between 50 and 150 milliseconds.
